Our Journey & Legacy
Leale’s story began in 1963, when James Leale Sr. opened a modest auto and transmission repair shop in San Jose. Years later, his son Jim Leale Jr. joined the business — working from his early teens and eventually taking over the shop in 1999.
As RVs gained popularity, we saw a growing demand from owners needing reliable maintenance and repair services. In response, we launched a dedicated RV & heavy-duty-vehicle facility. That expansion eventually led to a massive 100,000-square-foot center — featuring full service bays, specialized RV repair equipment, and a collision center capable of handling even the largest RVs.
In 2018, the business was acquired by a new owner committed to maintaining the high standards set by the Leale family. Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, we remained open and fully operational — proving our resilience and commitment to supporting RV owners when they needed us most.
